fnord offers some of very useful plugins for free which are used in Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects. Here we have made a list of plugins by fnord which are available for free download.
SuperPNG
SuperPNG is a free, open-source Adobe Photoshop plug-in for using PNG (“ping”) files. It has more comprehensive support for the format than Photoshop’s included plug-in and provides control over alpha channel handling. PNG is an open-source file format that supports tight lossless compression. It can be read on any platform by most graphics applications and is fully supported by all modern web browsers.
WebM
Download our free Premiere plug-in for WebM, the open movie format created by Google. WebM is the HTML-5 standard video format that relies exclusively on open source and patent-free technology. It uses the VP8 and VP9 video codecs together with the Vorbis and Opus audio codecs, wrapped up in a Matroska container. Like WebM itself, this plug-in is completely open-source. Designed with video professionals in mind, the plug-in exposes more advanced VP9 features such as 4:4:4 video sampling and 10/12-bit pixel buffers. For minimum clutter, only the most important encoding parameters have interface controls, while dozens of other settings can be adjusted using the custom arguments text field.
ProEXR
OpenEXR is the visual effects industry-standard floating point file format and the best format to use when working with 32-bit HDR imagery. Access all the capabilities of OpenEXR from within Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro using ProEXR.
OpenEXR can support multiple layers of imagery, but Photoshop can’t read or save layered EXR files…unless you have ProEXR. Store all your layers in one file and read them into After Effects, Nuke, Shake, and Fusion. Or in one step save layers as individual files for programs that are less EXR savvy. ProEXR will also read all the image buffers created by modern 3D renderers and place each in its own Photoshop layer.
ProEXR lets you choose from all the compression options available in OpenEXR. Most EXR compression is lossless, but one of the most interesting options is a lossy method similar to JPEG, applied to the world of floating-point. Using B44 compression and Luminance/Chroma sampling, HDR images can be crushed to a fraction of their uncompressed size, usually without visible artifacts, only in ProEXR.
J2K
j2k is a free Photoshop and After Effects plug-in set for reading and writing the JPEG 2000 file format, the successor to JPEG.
Also known as JP2, JPEG 2000 uses wavelet compression as opposed to the DCT compression used in standard JPEG. The end result is better image quality in a smaller file. JP2 also includes mandatory metadata such as information about an image’s color space.
The After Effects and Premiere Pro versions have the ability to Auto Proxy, meaning that when working at half or quarter resolution j2k will only need to read in a fraction of the file, resulting in dramatic speedups.
Power Picker
Power Picker gives you what you’ve always wanted – a full-featured, interactive color picker right inside the After Effects interface. Never again will you have to bounce back and forth between the Apple Color Picker and your Comp.
Apply Power Picker to any solid or text and it takes over the color of that layer while leaving the Alpha channel intact. You can experiment with colors easily and instantly.
But Power Picker really shines when used in Expressions, allowing it to function as the color picker for virtually any filter. Group together multiple pickers on a layer and link them to all aspects of your design, leaving you with a central control center free of dialog boxes and guesswork.
As an extra bonus, Power Picker is good for tinting and subtly adjusting the colors of an image using one of three handy color mapping modes.
